Smudge by Rachel Axler, directed by Rory O'Carroll.
According to Samuel French, Smudge is a dark comedy about "the changing face of the American family and the limits of love and cheesecake, as a hopeful young couple gives birth to a smudge."
Its author, Rachel Axler is a playwright and a two-time Emmy award-winning former writer for both The Daily Show with Jon Stewart and Parks and Recreation.
"What gives the play its charge is how Ms. Axler taps into a primal fear — giving birth to a monster — and then calmly considers it from all angles. She has a lightness of touch, especially in the scenes with Colby, that makes the dark undertow all the more affecting." - Rachel Saltz, New York Times
Doors at 6:30PM. General admission seating.
